"This was Martyr’s first gig in the UK, and it wasn’t hard to tell. I only knew because the singer screamed his appreciation to the audience. The originally 80's metallers burnt up the stage, running through song after song, some old and some off of their new album. The guitars popped and fizzled throughout as they backed a charismatic frontman who wasn’t averse to a little crowd pleasing, going out among the audience to sing. The music was pulsing and the air writhing with the enthusiasm a small crowd can muster. The drums were like being punched in the face with the relentless playing backing the rest of the band sweetly."
